How about this 150-item, 17,000-calorie English breakfast?

Well, they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day

Some say breakfast is the most important meal of the day and Ted Phillips, owner of Shepherds Place Farm in Doncaster (I bet his real name is Jeremy) has decided to take that statement literally by offering a new full English breakfast, which consists of 150 items and 17,000 calories. He calls it the 'Terminator Armageddon'.

It weighs a staggering 20 lbs (9 kg) and it includes 15 rashers of bacon, 15 hash browns, 15 fried eggs, 15 jumbo Lincolnshire sausages (as big as 30 regular sausages), 15 slices of black pudding, 15 slices of toast and fried bread with butter, 15 portions of baked beans, 15 portions of tinned tomatoes and 15 portions of mushrooms. It costs £50 but if you can eat it within an hour, you get your money back.

Phillips has been creating 'breakfast challenges' for the last three years and he said he's already had messages "from competitive eaters in the US who are desperate to get over and give the challenge their best shot".

He said he came up with the idea to host food challenges at his farm because he kept seeing similar things in the U.S. and couldn't find anything like that in the UK.

"I'd seen [food challenges] on programs such as Man VS Food but I thought that I hadn't seen many happening in this country so I started doing them," said Phillips. "They are so popular with our customers and we have had people travel from all over the country to give our breakfast challenges a go."

Phillips said the 'Terminator Armageddon' takes about 20 minutes to cook and no one has won the challenge yet. "To be honest I don't know how anyone will be able to finish this just for the sheer amount of sausages," he concluded.

Would you try this?

"It easily weighs between 15 to 20lbs."

Ted insists on using only quality ingredients when the fry-up is put together.
