    • Well I’d definitely start with something from the Highlands, Speyside, or Campbeltown. The stuff from Islay is often very peated and has the tendency to taste like a bonfire made of cigars. Value for money, I love GlenAllachie.

  • I'm not a big fan of whiskey although I had more than my share of bourbon back in my 20s. Also had some Canadian blends and did try an Irish once that I did not like. I've never tried scotch, what might be a good one to try for someone who prefers vodka or gin?

    • I’d look for some Single Malt Highland or Campbeltown Scotches, finished in cognac or dessert wine barrels like Sauternes or Port. Stay away from bottles flaunting the use of peat.
