How do you 'spice up' your ramen?

2y ago

Who said packet ramen noodles can't be delicious? You can't compare instant noodles to a real smooth slow-cooked broth, but as a student you sometimes need to make do with quick meals. The dish pictured is nothing more but an instant ramen purchased at a local oriental supermarket, just with a few delicious add-ons. Eggs, bacon, spring onion, as well as some black and white sesame seeds for decoration, and you're good to go!

  • Well, Korean ramen usually come pre-packaged with soup and vegetables... Still, try frying some pork belly first with chili, garlic, and onion, then adding the broth... It makes it taste more 'cuisine'-like instead of a quick meal.

  • I had the last packet of noodles in the pantry today, with eggs poached in the 'broth'... I like to stir spicy roast pumpkin and toasted seeds or nuts through my ramen!

  • I always have many different flavors of ramen at home. I sometimes even make extra food, so the next day I have a nice topping for a ramen lunch 😅
