I was very excited to see Ribeye Steak was on sale so it went on the menu for dinner. I didn't want to use up a bunch of dishes to have to wash, so I decided to cook this dinner using as few dishes as possible.
I seasoned the steaks with garlic salt and fresh ground pepper, and let them sit out on the counter (out of reach of my dog!) for one hour. When it was time to get started on dinner, I heated a large pan and dropped some butter in. Once the butter was melted, the Ribeyes went in to brown in the butter. While the steaks were cooking, I threw in some Rosemary from my wife's garden, and spooned the butter over the steaks.
Ribeyes in the pan!
Looking beautiful!
Once the steaks were done, I removed them from the pan to rest and tossed in a sliced onion. About a teaspoon of sugar was added to to caramelize the onions.

Onions caramelizing.
Once the onions were done, it was time to crack and egg to top my steak!
Fried egg for my Ribeye!
The steaks came out perfect! They had a beautiful meaty and savory flavor that the slightly sweet caramelized onions paired well with. I love a fried egg on a cheeseburger and a fried egg is even better on a steak! The fries (prepared in my air fryer) were finished with truffled salt, and they were great to soak up the meat juices from the plate. And to go with my dinner, I had a Bundaberg Ginger Beer; one of my favorite beverages, directly from Australia. This was a damn good steak dinner!
Nicely cooked
Very refreshing!
Mmmmmmmm yeah!

That steak looks amazing and cooked in butter with rosemary is an excellent option when you don't feel like grilling.
