If you are like me, then you will be a huge fan of Wagamama's chicken katsu curry. This has been a staple in the Welham family diet for many years. I remember the first time I ever tasted it. I was down in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey and was blown away by the perfect blend of chicken, rice, salad and the legendary katsu curry sauce. I still only order this meal to this day.
As I don't live near a Wagamama nor do I fancy it every day, I stumbled across this YouTube tutorial on how to make it myself. Admittedly, I haven't tried it yet but I intend to in the coming weeks. Haste's Kitchen takes us through the process of making the katsu curry sauce and I was surprised by just how much is actually in it, including carrots.
I would say the sauce is the tricky bit and then the chicken and rice just sort of follows on naturally. Let me know what you think of this recipe and whether you will be trying it yourself.
