This is the second part of My Foodtribe story. If you missed the first part I will leave a link to it just below this. This is the story about my first year on Foodtribe. I hope you all enjoy it.
During this time I was doing everything on my old out of date phone. To be honest I had no idea what I was doing. So not much has changed cause I still have no idea what I am doing. What I learned during this time is you all liked my flame cooked food, steaks, eggrolls and most of all my burgers.
I thought I was just doing this for fun little did I know my competitive side was starting to whisper in my ear. Then came the hand washing challenge in which I was called out to participate in. To be totally honest I was shocked I did not think anyone knew I existed much less be called out for a challenge.
I wanted to produce better content but since all I had was a old out of date phone I had to get serious. So I jumped on Amazon and ordered a laptop strictly for Foodtribe. After a couple of days it was time to get serious. That post was when I made Valentina Testa's pastina in brodo. It was my first post to hit one thousand views/impressions. I was so happy and more driven to do better.
After a few more posts that I thought done well my competitive side fully took over. If I am in it I want to win it. So I started paying a lot of attention to the numbers, not just mine but every bodies.
After much set up and dozens of pictures and some editing, I posted what to me was my greatest one yet my Black Rifle Coffee post. This was the one I thought would get me noticed. I went full out you all I had the American flag and different products from BRCC. I went full BRCC and put my AR 15 in the picture (unloaded of course) with some army ammo cans. It was brilliant you all.
The post was doing well to me and I was excited. A day or two later I got a message from our friend Rachael Hogg. Foodtribe I was so excited I almost dropped my phone. I could not wait to read what she had to say. You all she messaged me to tell me my post had been removed. Foodtribe I was devastated to say the least. Good news was I could keep my post as long as I change the picture. The picture is what I was so proud of you all. So I changed it to the picture that is on there now.
It is funny how life goes sometimes, I went from not even wanting the app on my phone to wanting to be a part of Foodtribe. I had been posting twice a day almost everyday for a while. I switched to doing only one post but doing it better. What I found was it worked. All of my numbers were going up and as you have read I am a numbers person.
Ok you all I am going to end this here. I am worried these will get to long. Tell me what you think are they to long to short or just a lot of rubbish. Plus let me know if you want to read part three of the story. Thanks for reading this you all. I am still shocked anyone cares to read this nonsense but I am happy you do. I hope life is being good to you all. I love you Foodtribe.
