I Indian pimped some beanz and I'll never look back
Inspired by boredom
Cor, Sundays feel a bit less special these days don't they?
With the relentless march of Covid-19 and ongoing lockdown, the week sort of blurs into the weekend just like the fifth glass of Barolo smears into the eighth, the ninth and then the wall.
It was this relentless boredom that led me to pimp some beans for my Sunday lunch. Of course I've seen Rachael and James pimping theirs, so I thought I'd give it a go.
Note beans, spices, chili, ginger and lovely new kitchen floor awaiting lovely new oven
All I did was fry up a little diced ginger and a sliced red chilli, then dumped them into a pan of simmering beans, along with a teaspoon each of methi and mirchi spice mixes and two teaspoons of haldi spice mix. I have no idea how to make those spice mixes, they were Christmas presents from Mother Rodie. You can buy them from this website – and I'd recommend the set. I've found myself adding Indian spices to everything from spaghetti testarossa to steaks.
Buy some lovely indian spice mixes. Or don't, whatever

You deserve a bean pimp badge.
These are sounding rather tasty!
Nice pimping! Gonna have to try this
I don't know how to feel. Adding Indian spices makes me like it but the mere presence of beans steers me away.
