International Goodies: Sometimes a good Chilli is all I need
Fantastic Foods from all over the World.
I still remember the first Time I had had my first ever Bowl of Chilli con Carne. Back then I was a Youth Member of the Red Cross of about 12 Years on a 'Sleepover'. It was great.
Since then, I have enjoyed the good Stuff occasionally. Sometimes made entirely from Scratch, other Times coming from a Powder Bag.
The best Version I ever had even had some Coffee in it, and I hate Coffee.
So Good.
There are only a few Things that definitely belong into a nice Chilli. Those are red Kidney Beans, ground Beef, and some sort of Chilli Pepper and some other Herbs and Spices, like Garlic. Some kind of Tomato Sauce can also proof very much useful.
Off Course you can also use other Ingredients to pimp your Meal.
So far, I have had Chilli with Coffee, Kakao Powder, Dark Chocolate;ate and many other obscure Ingredients. Most of those actually added a lot of Depth to an otherwise simple Dish.
Never with Rice.
The only Thing I never did was adding Rice to my Chilli. I just do not think that those two belong together. Proof me otherwise.
I do however like some Crème Fraîche and a bit of Baguette with it.
It has been a while though.

Ughhhhh. Now I want chili.
Me too. Hadn’t had some in a while.
Right!
Omg! Sounds so good especially since it's been cool the past couple of days
Been warm here for a few Days. Raining pretty much all the Time now.
Oh no! I did have rain the other day as well but before that it was in the 80's
I like chili over brown rice, but then again I'm one of those heathens that makes bean-only chili. :) Your version looks good!
Never actually had Bean-only, but why not? Just call it a Chilli non Carne.
"Chilli non Carne" is a much more interesting name than "bean-only chilli." My life is non carne! :)
Venison chilli is my preferred meat for chilli .
Now I want some chilli Robin 😀
That might actually be nice. And I technically have a source of fresh Venison (Deer?).
Never had that Combination though.
It is absolutely superb! I slice it into nice small bit size pieces and let chilli cook almost all day.
