International Goodies: Trying Arla Skyr for the first Time
I went for Raspberry with Cranberry
Lately it seems like Skyr is all the Rage, but maybe I am also a bit late with that. But I do not care about that.
While I was buying Ingredients for yesterdays Cheese Toasty that almost turned out to be a Food Fail, I was unable to find any grated Cheese at first. What jumped into my Eyes was a nice selection of Skyr though.
There were only two Flavours available though: Raspberry with Cranberry, or Palin Vanilla. Since I kinda also craved something fruity , I went with the Berry Mix.
Not looking that good.
Skyr is a traditional icelandic form of joghurt/ cottage cheese. I really would love it to have some ther once.
My first Spoon of Skyr was the best Flavour Experience I ever had. But after giving it all a good Stir, the Berries actually came through.
They still were not very powerful though, but I like it that Way. When I have Joghurt with Berries, I want to taste the Berries, but I also want to have the Joghurt coming through. For me, Skyr is pretty much the right mix, but it could use a little more sweetness.
For what it is, 7.6 grams of Sugar per 100 grams of Skyr are actually okay, but it is also still quite a bit. A normal Joghurt, with Raspberry Taste, usually contains around 16 grams tough, so I guess that really is okay.
I also like the Fact that it seems like there are no artificial Colours present. Skyr really looks like a blank canvas.
*I think Skyr might be awesome with Granola-Type Cereal.

I want to try it
Go for it, and then let us all know.
I like skyr. I like it because the flavored options are not sweet, compared to others here in the US. I also like that it has a consistency similar to Greek yogurt.
That is also what I like about Skyr. Normal Joghurt usually is way to sweet. But I would still like a tad bit more Flavour. Just a litt, and it would be pretty much perfection.
Yes, it has mild flavor. I add fresh or dried berries to boost up the flavor.
If I could find it I would try it
I hope you can source some.
🤷♀️ we shall see I guess
I have never tried it but I would be willing to give it a day in court.
All I can say is go for it. And maybe try this link to find some: www.icelandicprovisions.com/where-to-buy-skyr/
If I see it maybe I will depending on what flavors I find. I will check out this link thanks 😀
