Baladin, a brewing company based out of Cuneo in Northern Italy, has just created its first ever bread beer. They call it 'Briciola' - Italian for 'crumb' - because the beer is brewed using bread. The brewer came up with this idea because they were trying to figure out a way to reuse unsold bread.
Some people say beer is basically a meal and while that may sound like a bit of a stretch, it is true that beer shares many ingredients with bread and apart from the alcohol content, it also has some nutritional merits. Especially when it's (good) craft beer.
Briciola is unsurprisingly very light but dense, with 'herbaceous' notes. It is made using water, barley malt, hops and dry bread, and it is bottled at 4.8% ABV.

La bira quotidiana? Is it like "the daily beer"? I like that!
Indeed!
I would try this. Bread and beer, it must be good!
I'd try it but I'm not sure I'd like it. I feel like this would probably taste like a Weiss, which is just about the only type of beer I don't like
