Anyone who knows me a little knows I love ribeye to me there is no other choice. This was not always the case though. Through my teenage years and early to mid twenties my top pick was a sirloin. I have not had a sirloin in so long I do not remember the last time. Well that has now changed my wife picked up two nice looking sirloins from the store and I was slightly disappointed when it was not ribeye's. Well after a little sea salt and cayenne it was off to the grill where it was cooked to rare maybe a touch past. I paired it with a handful of Miss Vickie's Jalapeno potato chips (review coming soon) I forgot how much I enjoyed a sirloin it was very nice tender and juicy. I stand true that nothing beats a good ribeye but the sirloin is a nice second choice. What is your favorite type of steak Foodtribe? Tell me in the comments.

  • Same for me, I love ribeyes. But if I can’t find that, my second choice is a NY strip.

  • Well Doug here you go from across the pond. My second favourite steak is fillet. Super lean with a flavour all of it's own, but that is topped by chateau briand. It truly is in a league of it's own. This cut is just lean and soft. A bit like a Swiss roll it is served for two. Steak knife is not required and little pressure from an ordinary knife. So lean so Tasty and it just melts in the mouth. Ask me where I first had it I think you'll be surprised 😉

    • Search it on Google you'll find out more. By many château Briand is regarded as the finest cut of steak know to man. It is for two to share.

Well the first place I ate this was in the hills above cala llonga Ibiza. A lovely bistro called zebras....
