It's over for Drake's Toronto restaurant
They tried to blame it on flooding, but got caught out
Turns out things are… *over* for Drake’s eatery in Toronto. News has just emerged that the rapper’s restaurant in Toronto has closed down just a year and a half after it opened.
The Canadian superstar’s landlord closed down the joint, Pick 6ix, because it was apparently $67,000 behind on its rent. The lease was terminated as a result.
The (hotline) blingy restaurant had gotten a pretty bad rap in its reviews. But the owners tried to put a positive spin on things with an Instagram post that blamed the closure on flooding.
But the property management kind of busted that bubble when they printed out the real reason and plastered at the eatery in downtown Toronto. The notice said $67,514.73 in rent wasn’t paid.
The black and gold-fronted spot is Drake’s second restaurant in Toronto. His first, Frings, closed last summer after two years of operation.
