I've invented a brilliant beige sandwich – but I need a name for it

I think this quarantine malarkey is already sending me a little crazy. My girlfriend and I have a cupboard full of delights to eat, but last night we just wanted something well… beige. And in the process of finding the most beige thing possible, we've invented something wonderful. And I need you to tell me what we should name this creation. Leave your comments below.

The Unnamed Beige Sandwich

Guaranteed to leave you feeling satisfied



  • 3 x high-quality fish fingers per person
  • 2 x slices thick cut white bread per person
  • 1 x potato waffle per person
  • Margarine
  • Tomato ketchup
  • 1 cup (scant) desperation


Preparing the fish

  1. Put the fish fingers in the oven or under the grill or in a frying pan
  2. Cook them until they're cooked

Preparing the bread

  1. Slice bread thickly (approx 9.5mm), measure with vernier calipers
  2. Slather with margarine and ketchup


  1. Lay one waffle on a bread slab
  2. Gently rest three fish fingers atop the waffle as if you're putting restless aquatic triplets to bed
