Jimmy John's! One of the Best Subs Out There!

Jimmy John's does subs right!

I grew up in an area of the country where subs are an important food group. That's right; breads and cereals, meat and fish, dairy, sub sandwiches, fruits, and vegetables. Subs and hoagies are a part of my upbringing, and I grew up with awesome examples. Every corner eatery in New Jersey sold Philly Cheesesteaks and Italian Hoagies. One of my favorite places is the corner Wawa convenience store. Unfortunately I'm located in the Atlanta, GA area these days and the nearest Wawa is in Florida!

At least I can get a good sub from Jimmy John's! Jimmy John's does it right, and to build a sub the right way you need to start with a good foundation. Of course, the foundation to a good sub is the bread. Jimmy John's bakes damn good bread daily in each store for their damn good sandwiches.

Lunch!

Lunch!

Today, for lunch, I got my favorite; the #12 Beach Club, EZ lettuce, add EZ onions, hold the cucumbers. What a good sub! It was so good it actually made me hungrier!

Damn! I wish we had a Wawa nearby! Damn! I'm hungry again!

Where is your favorite place to grab a sandwich, sub, hoagie, or grinder?

  • Wawa is the ultimate sandwich maker. Also capriottis and primos

    • I need a Wawa here in GA sooooooo badly! The last three Wawa subs I had were hand carried on an airplane from NJ. The one before that came on a straight through drive from PA. I'll still kill a day old Wawa sub! LOL

If I won the lottery I'd try...

  • Growing up in Southwest Ohio we had a steak sandwich that was more of a hamburger/choppedsteak. Pizza sauce and or mushroom gravy, sauteed onions, banana peppers and provolone on a hoagie bun, baked in a brick pizza oven. If you're ever in Dayton, Cincinnati or another SW Ohio town find a Cassano's Pizza King. I think you'll like it. Oh and they do a good pizza and other sandwiches too.

    • That sounds damn good! Reminds me of a similar sandwich they make up north in some neighborhoods that sounds like that crossed with a cheesesteak!
