Just a wee story.

How I got Lucyfurr

I have told you about my wee one. If you have not seen them please go back and read my other two posts about my little doggy.

Lucy's mom was named blackie she was a stray who stayed on our porch. She was so afraid of everything. If she seen you look out the door she would run and hide. Our neighbor said she was to wild and that no one would be able to pet her. Well pet tribe challenge accepted. Over time I earned her trust. Instead of her running from me she would now run to me. She got pregnant and was staying on the porch more than ever.

I come home from work and on the porch is my wife with blackie and her newly born kittens. There were three total but two had died during birth. When I got close blackie run up to me and led me to her kittens. She picked up the only alive one (lucy) and sat her on my feet. She looked up at me as to say " I trust you will you take care of my baby". It broke my heart you all.

Little lucyfurr spent a couple days outside with her mother while we got ready to bring her in. Blackie started moving lucy around to different hiding spots. When I would go outside to check on them I would tell blackie " go get baby" and she would take off and return with little lucy.

In the end we took both blackie and wee one in. We did not have the heart to separate them. This June my little doggy will be 9 years old. How times flies. It seems like it was just yesterday.
