Kluski slaskie - Silesian dumplings recipe
Silesian dumplings recipe. Only 3 ingredients!
Kluski slaskie (Silesian dumplings) are made from boiled potatoes, potato flour and egg. Served usually as a side dish to meats and salads, but of course you also can eat them with fried onion and bacon, ham or sausage on the top. My potato dumplings are prepared from the leftover potatoes from yesterday, so no food waste! 👍
RECIPE (SILESIAN DUMPLINGS):
+ Boiled potatoes (428g-500g)
+ Potato flour (100g)
+ Egg (x1)
+ Salt and pepper (to taste)
ADDITIONALLY – small onion (x2) , bacon, ham or sausage (depends on your preferences)
1. Peel and boil potatoes in salted water. Strain potatoes and mash them (mincer can be helpful). To the potatoes, add an egg and potato flour, knead until everything is mixed. If mass will be sticky, add a bit more potato flour 👇
2. Shape dumplings into the size of walnut, coat them in potato flour, flatten them a bit and make a little hole in the middle of it by using finger, and put them on sprinkled-flour tray 👇
3. Boil water in a pot with 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Put silesian dumplings gently into the hot water, stir and wait till they float to the surface. From that moment, boil them for 2 minutes. Take dumplings out from water and put them on a plate. Serve them with sauce, meat or just with fried onion and bacon, ham or sausage.
