Leftover casserole recipe

Great way to use some stale bread or rolls! Tasty and no food waste in the same time

Casserole may be eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner - just depends on you. It is made from very basic ingredients which I bet we usually keep in kitchen. Like some good CHEESE , milk, vegetables, some leftover meat prepared the day before and breadstuff 💁.

To mine mixture I just used two types of cheese mozzarella and edam ( coz' CHEESE is great), ham, vegetables like green bell pepper, onion, garlic, champignions, lots of seasonings and stale bread.

So let's go into details.

INGREDIENTS:

Eggs (6-7)

Milk (100ml)

Cheese ( 200 g or more) I added some mozzarella and edam

Bread (6 slices) if don't want to put whole bread slices you can cut into cubes

Champignions (4-5 sliced and fried)

Canned corn (75g drained and risned)

Onion (x1)

1/2 of bell pepper

Garlic ( x2-3 minced cloves)

Ham ( 3-4 slices) or any other type of meat you wish

Mix of your favourite seasonings to taste

Additionally: tablespoon of oil to grease the bottom of the form.

METHOD:

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C and lay out the bread slices in the form.

2. Set bread aside. To large bowl add chopped onion, sliced ham into cubes, sliced and fried champignions, drained and risned corn, chopped bell pepper, minced garlic, grated cheese, eggs, milk and mix everything together. 👇

Pour mixture onto the bread 👇

Bake casserole for 30 minutes

After baking:

Served with sprinkled parsley on the top together with leftover Belgian sauce from yesterday. It was so good.
