Leninade is the soda for the true working class

On a late-night trip to Bev Mo in search of something completely different, I came across this bright orange bottle perked atop a high shelf. When I saw the hammer and sickle, I knew I was looking at a genuine bottle of Leninade. For the best effect, please read the rest of this article in a faux Russian accent.
Leninade is a soda sold by a company called "Real Soda" and as you can already tell, it's heavily inspired by communism and Eastern Europe. The bottle is full of communism-inspired slogans like "A Taste Worth Standing In Line For!", "Get Really Hammered & Sickled!", "Drink Comrade! Drink! It's This or the Gulag!," and "Our 5-Year Plan: Drink a bottle a day and become a Hero of Socialist Flavor!" It definitely got a chortle out of me, I tell you hwhat.
The orange-ish/red drink has been around since sometime in the early 2000s and it's supposed to taste like some kind of lemonade, hence the name being a portmanteau of Lenin and lemonade. To me, it tasted like a mixture of citrus, strawberry, and cherry, likely all from Russia of course. It wasn't anything super special but I liked it! And I say that of my own accord, not because a foreign government is forcing me to say that. Why would you think such a thing?!
The bottle itself is also a nice keepsake since the nice graphics are printed right on the glass bottle. Sure you could recycle it and get some money back, but that'd be feeding the government machine comrade! Not very Soviet of you.
There's not much else to say about it really. It's a nice tasting soda with a very entertaining bottle that will look nice on a shelf. For the $3 I paid for it, I'd say it was worth it and if you come across one in your local supermarket, pick one up and let me know what you think of it! I'm sure Lenin himself would be proud of this concoction although the whole Capitalism thing behind it might not please him as much.
