Lionel Messi and other footballers appear in new Pepsi ad

...and there's not a protester in sight

It looks like Pepsi has learnt its lesson after the disastrous Kendall Jenner protest ad. As the company is the official sponsor of the UEFA Champions League, it's launched a new '#PepsiChallenge' ad which features "reigning GOAT" Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba, Jadon Sancho and Shanice van de Sanden.

The ad, directed by Raine Allen-Miller has had plenty of praise. Allen-Miller said, "It was an honour to work with some of the world’s biggest football talent and to be able to showcase the players’ unique personalities and passions in the film. I had a great time collaborating with Pepsi to create a visually compelling world for the film and tell this fast-paced and fun story - which I know both football and music fans are going to love!"

Barcelona star Lionel Messi said: “I am excited to once again be a part of the Pepsi football squad. This year has been so much fun to film; I know fans are going to love it.” Paul Pogba and Jadon Sancho also said that they loved filming with Pepsi.

What are your thoughts on this Pepsi ad? Better than the protest one?
