Looks like Master of None 3 will be focused on the London restaurant scene
Filming is scheduled to begin later this year
The third season of the award-winning Netflix comedy-drama Master of None is set to make a comeback after four years and is going to be filmed in London, focusing on the restaurant scene of the City.
Master of None was created by American actor and comedian Aziz Ansari and American screenwriter Alan Young, with Ansari in the lead role of Dev Shah, a young actor, and various and several guest appearances by global stars like John Legend, Busta Rhymes and Danielle Brooks.
The show basically follows the romantic and professional life of Dev (Ansari) and as most scenes are filmed inside restaurants and bars, location plays a key role in the series. Season one was filmed in New York City, season two was set in Italy and it even featured Massimo Bottura's 'Osteria Francescana', a Michelin-starred restaurant in Modena, named the best restaurant in the world in The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2018.
The series was well received and in 2017, both Ansari and Cindy Holland, former Head of Digital Content* at Netflix, expressed interest in creating a third season in the future but plans were delayed multiple times. Production was scheduled to begin in spring 2020 but it was postponed because of the pandemic and while it is confirmed that the new season will take place in London, no further details have been revealed as of yet.
