Love Leon waffle fries? Find them in the freezer aisle
Legendary gluten-free side available exclusively at Sainsbury's
Good news for Leon fans nationwide. The chain's waffle fries (potatoes cut into a waffle shape and fried) are now available in frozen form from Sainsbury's. That means that you can now enjoy one of the best sides the fast food world has to offer from the comfort of your own home.
Leon sold an incredible 2.5 million portions of waffle fries in 2019, making this one a firm fan favourite.
Leon released the frozen chips yesterday – and they are now available in 180 of Sainsbury's larger stores and on Sainsbury's online shop.
The 550g bags are on sale for a very economical £1.50 each, but not for long. On 12 June the price will increase to £2, so get yourself along to a Sainsbury's near you and grab as many bags as you can carry to make those 50p savings.
Charlotte Di Cello, chief commercial officer at LEON, said, “We know how much our customers love our baked waffle fries and vegan sauces, so we’re excited to be expanding our grocery range to help more people enjoy naturally fast food at home.”
What was that about sauces, I hear you ask? Well, in addition to the waffle fries, Leon launched retail versions of their Love Burger Sauce, Harissa & Sundried Tomato Aioli and Korean Chilli Mayo.
These will be available to buy from selected Sainsbury's stores and retail at £2.50 per 245g jar.
This isn't Leon's first foray into the world of supermarkets; Sainsbury's already stocks a range of the chain's sauces, dips and oils in stores and on its website.
If you'd rather go direct, then check out Leon's new 'Feed Britain' online delivery service, which was launched last month. This is a grocery and ready-meal delivery service that starts at £22.50. All profits are going to FeedNHS, a charity providing NHS workers with one hot meal a day..
