Man caught speeding after 240 mile trip to get '£1 cheaper bread'
Seems a bit far for an essential journey...
A man in Britain has been fined after being caught doing 110 mph on the M1 motorway near Leicester.
His excuse was simple. He was driving from his home in Nottingham to London to buy a loaf of bread as he claimed it was '£1 cheaper'.
The police also reported that his two children were in the car at the time of the car being stopped. The police issued him with two fixed penalty notices and reported him to court for speeding.
It's one thing to break the lockdown rules but to undergo a 240 mile round trip to 'get a loaf of bread' is unacceptable. I hope you are all staying indoors!
