McDonald’s is about to roll out breakfast chicken nationwide

This is not a drill

Forget your fast-food related New Year’s resolutions folks, because McDonald’s is about to launch two new chicken menu items nationwide.

The chain will roll out the McChicken Biscuit and Chicken McGriddle across the country next month.

Excitingly, the news comes to us via leaked documents that were obtained by Business Insider.

The documents reveal that some McDonald’s restaurants will also serve spicy versions of the two new breakfast menu items - we can hardly contain ourselves.

At the moment the chain serves chicken at around half of its locations in the US.

"What came first, the chicken or the egg? Set your alarm for more reasons to visit McDonald's for breakfast in 2020," a McDonald's representative said in a statement to Business Insider.

Wendy’s will also be launched a breakfast menu early next year, so the fast food breakfast wars are really hotting up.

  • Been in my neck of the woods for about 2 months. The biscuit version is ok. The McGriddle version is reminiscent of Chicken-n-waffles which sounds great but as with any McGriddle breakfast, my blood sugar shoots way up then crashes about 11:30, to the point that I can't drive. In other words, I won't have too many going forward
