It's likely you too have been a victim of the McDonald's breakfast hours: 10.30am has never seemed fair. You're running late, or hungover, or faffing, and just need to get a sausage and egg McMuffin. You pull up to the window, only to be informed it's 10.31am.
You may think one minute isn't a big deal, and they probably have one ready so maybe they could just.....NO. They will absolutely not give you breakfast, you have strayed into lunchtime territory, and that is that!
Much to the joy of those of us who have fallen foul to this regimented schedule, McDonald's has announced they will be extending breakfast until 11am from 30 November, across the UK.
The announcement was made by McDonald's vice president of food and marketing, Michelle Graham-Clare. “We have listened to our customers’ pleas and are delighted to extend breakfast serving time until 11am, particularly as we head into the festive season when we see a rush of latecomers searching for those all-important hash browns,” she said.
It may only be half an hour, but that is 30 extra minutes for you to get your hungry hands on a McMuffin, a bagel, or some delicious porridge. Make no mistake, these things matter!
