Meat guru Salt Bae wants to open a restaurant in London
This would be the latest addition to his growing chain of restaurants.
Turkish chef and restaurateur Nusret Gökçe, widely known around the world as "Salt Bae", has expressed interest in opening a restaurant in London, which would be the latest addition to the growing chain of steakhouses he already owns around the globe.
After accruing experience working in kitchens around the world, Salt Bae opened a restaurant in Instabul in 2010 and another one in Dubai in 2014. He became an internet sensation in 2017, following the release of a video showing him "suavely" cutting and seasoning meat, which went viral. Over the last couple of years, Salt Bae has been fuelling his celebrity chef image by consistently sharing Instagram videos of famous athletes, actors and musicians dining in one of his venues and, as often as not, he's actually had them share a video of him sprinkling salt with his signature gesture.

Salt Bae owns several steakhouses between the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, several more in Turkey and Greece, and two restaurants in the US, Miami and New York. Even though there have been several reports of Knightsbridge being used as a location, Salt Bae might actually end up opening a burger restaurant in Mayfair.
