That is a gigantic moka pot. It was invented by Italian engineer Alfonso Bialetti in 1933 and it was named after the city of Mocha, in Yemen. The moka has become a design icon and more to the point, it has dramatically changed the coffee industry because of the unique way the machine percolate and brew the coffee. I shot this video during a road trip with Suzuki Italia a while ago. I probably had 7 or 8 cups that day. ☕
