M&S is making Millennial dreams come true with giant avocados

Is there a food more Millennial than avocados? After all, avocado on toast is the sole reason we'll never be able to afford a house – according to Boomers anyway.

Well, house ownership will be one step even further away, as ahead of World Avocado Day on 31 August, Marks & Spencer announced it will be selling enormous Hass avocados.

How big is the Hass avocado I hear you cry? It's about double the size of a regular one that you'll find in a supermarket near you. That means double the amount of avocado-y goodness. These avocados are already one of the most popular varieties you can find in the UK thanks to their great taste and creamy texture. They're also ripe and ready to eat as soon as you take them off the shelves, meaning that there's no faffing around with waiting for them to ripen or doing some slightly weird technique/voodoo/black magic to make them ripen quicker.

What kind of dishes are you going to make with these enormous avocados? Well, you could go Greek-style and stuff them with various vegetables and feta cheese. Or maybe an avocado mac & cheese is more your bag? Maybe you just want to make some good old classic avocado toast or some gorgeous homemade guacamole? However you have them, M&S now has the avocados you never knew you needed, but now definitely do.
