My Sottish friend and long-time work colleague Bobby was telling me a while back he was going to build a bar in his garden. His son was building it so he had to wait for him to get it done when he wasn't busy. It took some time but in the meantime, he collected all sorts of memorabilia, beer mats and rugs, rum, whiskies, all sorts spirits.
He talked about the progress of the bar for so long it seemed like it was never going to get done. Then totally out of the blue our friend "The fox" called me up and said he was going over there to take a look.
Pineapple Grenade - proper use of Pineapple unlike putting it on pizza 🤮!
Me and "The fox" pop around to check it out. Before you know it Bobby gets shot glasses and pours us some Pineapple Grenade, I was only meant to be popping around to have a look but I didn't want to be rude so I had to indulge. He said don't down it just sip it - good advice, F**k a duck this stuff is strong! 65% wow! When you taste it you get a sort of caramel flavour then pineapple and then the fire of the alcohol rises up your throat delicious!
A bit of Scottish charm about the place!
We sat there chatting whilst listenig to the sound of the rain pitter pattering on the metal roof. I finished my drink and I said I im going now, he said do you fancy one for the road? I didn't want to be rude, so he gets out the Goslings Bermuda Black Rum - 75.5%! he then set it alight to warm it... its hard to describe the taste but i reckon i coud run my car off the stuff!
75% rum yum!
Fire in the hole!
We had one more Pineapple Grenade and a beer, then me and the fox left before it got messy. Long live Bobby and his bar what a nice place.
Like a home from home - err just up the path behind the kitchen.
Pineapple Grenade golden and delicious
