Inspired by Doug F and his World Burger Tour, I have thought up a Northern German Burger.
It could be delicious, but it could also be really bad. I have no Idea. I have not cooked it yet.
For the Bun I would take something with Potatoes, because we here in Norddeutschland love our Ground Apples in many ways. I have actually had a Burger with Kartoffelpuffer as the Bun once. It was great.

Then I would add some Braunkohl, but not to much of it. I really love Braunkohl, and I think it could tastbrilliant in a Burger.
Then I would add some Sweet Mustard, that is more of a Bavarian Thing, but it tastes oh so good.
There would be no Cheese though. That stuff would not go well with the Braunkohl.

Since I am from the Harz, I would go with Harzer Rotes Höhenvieh for the Patty. I would go straight for the Briskett. And take about 200 to 250 grams of it. I would only lightly Season it with Salt & Pepper in the Pan an Cook it to Medium. Because you really don't have to kill the Cow twice.
The Burger would then be assembled as follows: Bun > Braunkohl > Patty > Mustard > Bun. Or the other Way around. I'm not sure about that.
So, what do you think of my Idea? Does it sound good or gruesome?
