My Journey Through FoodTribe: Italian Panzanella
Just in time for summer with Valentina Testa!
As some of you know I love trying out FoodTribe recipes especially for dishes authentic to your country. Valentina Testa posted Panzanella and I have had one before, but the biggest difference is that person wasn't Italian. Typical Tuscan dish made traditionally with torn stale bread, fresh veggies and good extra virgin olive oil. My salad had torn sour dough bread, tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers, sweet peppers, white wine vinegar, Italian extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil and oregano along with salt and pepper of course. A nice cool veggie salad that has been great for my work lunches especially with the heat being up. Fresh veggies with that pop of vinegar and the bread takes on the flavor from the tomatoes and vinegar, not to mention the flavor you get from the fresh herbs. So make sure you go check out Valentina's post for the recipe and give it a try. It's nice to have something a little different every now and then.
