Visiting Robin Ho for some quintessential German home cooking...
Pretty much this is a German style cabbage roll. In America at least, cabbage rolls are most of the time in a tomato based sauce while this German version is in a beef sauce/gravy. I tried my best with the vague directions and I had to use our green cabbage instead of the savoy cabbage. I could not find kitchen twine either, I am assuming it is because of Thanksgiving? Regardless, these were absolutely delicious! The beef sauce/gravy was very lovely with it. The only changes I will make are mine from just not having enough details. Will I make it again? Absolutely.
