Review: The Wing Cafe, Atlanta, GA – My favorite hot wings... in the world
My copycat version doesn't even compare!
My most favorite hot wings are from a local place called The Wing Cafe. The flavor: Packer's Cheese Head wings. Cheddar cheese, jalapenos, and wing sauce are combined to the perfect overall flavor. I love these wings so much that I had to figure out how to replicate them at home.
My version are pretty damn good. I use the air fryer to cook the wings, and they come out really nice and crispy, but still nice and juicy on the inside. I make my own hot wing sauce, and then mix in powdered cheddar cheese and diced, pickled jalapenos. My version make me salivate thinking about them.
But then I had the real ones again, and mine seem to pale in comparison.
My version of The Wing Cafe's The Packer's Cheese Head wings. Very, very, very good. But nowhere as good as the real thing.
Recently I had a chance to go eat at The Wing Cafe, and I couldn't not order my favorite wings, tossed in The Packer's Cheesehead flavor. For some reason, the flavor in these wings, the real ones from the restaurant, is just better! There is more heat. There is more buffalo sauce flavor, there is the perfect amount of cheddar. And the jalapenos just seem a touch hotter too.
DAMN! I LOVE THESE WINGS!
The Packer's Cheesehead wings!
I don't really need those vegetables! Take them away!
I can taste them in my mind!
