Natty Light is giving out beer if you file your taxes on time

They've partnered up with TaxAct to celebrate the most dull purchase you'll make

An exciting new partnership has united what some might say are the best and worst parts of modern life: tax and beer. Filing your own taxes is a burden that most of us bear with reluctance, but fortunately, Natural Light is here to add some joy to proceedings. If you file your taxes with TaxAct, a free case of Natty Light will be making its way on down to a porch near you.

The deadline for filing your taxes has been extended to July 15 rather than the usual date in April. This means you've still got plenty of time to claim free goodies.

The college focussed beer brand has teamed up with TaxAct to make this miracle happen, but it's worth noting that to redeem the offer you have to upload proof.

The free beer will technically come in a rebate, so you need to purchase whatever Natural Light product you want and then get reimbursed by Natty. You really can pick from anything – even Naturdays or the hard seltzers.

Upload your confirmation from TaxAct to, and they'll issue the rebate for your drinks. For all the nitty gritty on how this promotion works and where it's eligible, visit Natty's site.

This is as good a motivation as any to get those forms filled out. The sooner you do it, the sooner you could be sipping a refreshing beer. Aahh.

If you've already filed your taxes, then you still might be in for some free beer. Natty are offering a beer to anyone who is turning 21 during lockdown:

  • Having guzzled my share of Natty in the barracks, I'm trying to figure out how this is an incentive to do your taxes. Wait, I've got it! "Get your refund and you won't have to drink Natty!"
