Nettle Gnocchi with Rosemary & Pecorino Polpette- So I’m in quarantine in my caravan in the middle of bloody nowhere. So what do I do? I have beautiful ideas of wild garlic pesto or dandelion omelette. But the only edible delights I had to hand (gloves hand obviously) were some very young stingers!
So what pops to mind instantly, light, fluffy gnocchi! You can simply boil them then serve with garlic & sage butter, serve with a deliciously spicy arrabbiata sauce, or choose to oven roast them with soft polpette as I did.
Gnocchi of any kind are especially great during these trying times, as they can basically eat made from leftovers. Those of us with kids are never too far from mashed or baked potatoes. So you’ve got the basis to this whilst adding something different to your quarantine repertoire.
So, if you’re thinking of something a bit different. Take the sting out of the boredom and try these nettle Gnocchi. Enjoy and stay safe!
