Never try baking with a child – it's guaranteed chaos
As it turns out, it's messy, chaotic, and they'll probably try eating the raw ingredients
I did a bit of baking with my mum as a child. But then we realised I had a major intolerance to egg, both via ingestion and if I touched it. Which when you're a 4-year-old presented with a bowl of cake mix would usually result in a lot of hives, some antihistamines and a bit of chamomile lotion. But even that doesn't come close to the chaos of this grandma trying to bake with her grandson. Take a look.
Chaos distilled. All credit for images and the video go to @littlechefcade on Instagram.
As part of the cooking series, 'Cooking with Cade', this episode sees Cade making cookies with his grandma. How hard can it be? Well as it turns out, very. Cade's unique cooking methods seem to involve just trying to eat as much of the raw ingredients as possible before they are mixed together or put in the oven.
I don't blame Cade tbh, brown sugar tastes amazing!
After scooping some sugar into his face, his attention turns to the butter, which is quickly wrestled from his grasp. And that pretty much sets the tone...
Note to self, must get sponsors for Formula Food. Or a real job...
Although he does a decent job at plugging that episode's sponsor, so good job there Cade. All in, for a two-year-old, yup, this little star baker is only two, he hasn't done all that badly.
If you need some serotonin, I wholeheartedly recommend watching this kid in the kitchen. Have you tried cooking with your children? How disastrous was it? Let me know in the comments.

I'd be putting Shaun The Sheep on.
Probably wise.
