In these frightening and unprecedented times, it’s easy to feel hopeless and helpless. But there *are* things we can do to support each other through the coronavirus crisis.

A bakery in Austin, Texas, is making it a little easier to show our support for the people working on the front line of the pandemic.

Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop has launched a new program where you can send cupcakes to healthcare workers, first responders, animal rescue organizations and shelters.

The bakery’s ‘Cupcare Package’ allows you to order cupcakes online and have them delivered to any Austin address.

There’s a special ‘Community Giving’ package where you can choose a type of organization to support. The website explains: “Spread some sugar around the Austin community! Give some love to some first responders, medical staff, or folks in need.”

You can send cupcakes, cookie-decorating kits or digital gift cards. The charities include St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, Ascension Seton Southwest, Austin Pets Alive, PAWS, Lifeworks, Caritas, and Austin fire stations.
