New York City's Magnolia Bakery was immortalized in an episode of Sex and the City, when Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) first told Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) about Aidan (John Corbett) while eating cupcakes in front of the original Magnolia Bakery shop at 401 Bleecker Street, Manhattan.

The chain of bakeries is especially famous for its popular banana pudding and they've finally shared the recipe for the legendary dessert. You only need six ingredients: 4 or 5 ripe bananas (sliced), vanilla wafers, 3 cups of heavy cream, 1 package of instant vanilla-pudding mix, a 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk and two cups of ice-cold water.

It's very easy (that's what they say): you start by whisking the milk and cold water, before adding the pudding mix into a separate bowl. Then, you keep whisking the milk-and-water mixture until it's smooth, then cover the bowl and put it in the fridge for about 60 minutes. You add whipped cream (from the heavy cream), a layer of vanilla wafers and sliced bananas on top. Easy as pie. Sorry, I mean easy as pudding.

Should you need a little help, Magnolia Bakery will sell you DIY Banana Pudding Kits (above, $30), which includes Jell-O pudding mix, condensed milk, Nilla Wafers and Magnola Bakery cups and spoons.
