Simple and delicious.

Today I am bringing you one of my favorite sandwiches. My wife and I have been eating this sandwich for over a decade now, so you know it must be good. You can make this many different ways but this is the best way if you ask me.

Slice some chicken breast as thinly as possible. Season with some creole seasoning and then fry in a skillet till done. This one uses a potato bread bun. On the bottom bun I add a thin layer of mayo, onion and a slice of American cheese. Now start layering on the sliced chicken. Add a couple shakes of cayenne, pickled jalapenos and another slice of American cheese. I add another thin layer of mayo to the top bun with some hot sauce as well. Now if you really want to make this better just add some bacon. As you see I have some mizeria (cucumber salad). Thank you Emilia Mig once again for sharing this great recipe. It complemented my chicken sandwich perfectly.

So does this chicken sandwich sound like something you would enjoy Foodtribe? Tell me in the comments below. I hope you are enjoying your Sunday. I love you all.

  • Looks nomtastic! Am curious about the potato bread bun, do you have a recipe? Or is it just like normal but using potato flour? I've never seen them for sale but it sounds so good. Does the flavour differ much from normal buns?

  • Looks very tasty trying to work a vegetarian or fish alternative to the chicken, I wonder if smoked salmon would work. Have you tried dicing the cucumber adding it to some Greek yoghurt with chopped fresh mint.

    • That would be a good fish sandwich. No this is the only way I have had this salad
