It’s premiering on Hulu this summer
Here’s another awesome food TV show to add to your list…
Supermodel Padma Lakshmi is going to be hosting a brand new show called Taste The Nation.
The Hulu show will see the Top Chef travel the US to meet with different cultures and explore the food they eat.
Lakshmi wrote in a recent Insta post: “It’s a project I’ve spent years developing. We traveled across the country visiting indigenous and immigrant communities to find out what American food is today. The process was incredibly emotional and rewarding, a journey I will never forget.”
The show will be split into 10 30-minute episodes where Lakshmi visits a different city for each one. It’s premiering on June 19.
Here’s a description of the show from TVweb: “In Taste the Nation, award-winning cookbook author, host and Executive Producer Padma Lakshmi takes audiences on a journey across America, exploring the rich and diverse food culture of various immigrant groups, seeking out the people who have so heavily shaped what American food is today.
“From indigenous communities to recent immigrant arrivals, Padma breaks bread with Americans across the nation to uncover the roots and relationship between our food, our humanity, and our history - ultimately revealing stories that challenge notions of identity, belonging, and what it means to be American.”
Each episode will focus on a specific dish, whether it’s a top-quality restaurant dinner or street food grub, looking generations-old recipes as well as new techniques.
