What started as a way of getting young children to eat has carried on as a tradition in our family, and that is everyone gets to pick two things to go in the paella, one protein and one veg. In this was scallops, squid, prawns, pork, beef, bacon, chorizo, sweetcorn, peas, tomatoes, orange pepper, red onion, garlic, parsley. We use turmeric instead of saffron, because we prefer it, a litre of chicken stock and half a bottle of white wine.
The kids ate it all. 😊
