Pairing snacks with TV shows
What's better than binge watching your favourite series? Having some snacks to go with them, of course
Watching movies and TV shows is one of my favourite things. I prepare the room, the couch, set the perfect lighting and most importantly, I choose the snacks. So I made a list of some examples of the most popular shows right now, and the snack that would go best with it.
Dark
A german science fiction series that follows the connections between four families and mystery hidden through decades. Although there's not a lot of dialogue in this show, the plot gets more and more complicated every episode and requires our full attention to understand what's happening. That's why I would avoid dipping snacks like hummus, or food that requires cutlery like ice cream. However: chips, M&Ms, Skittles or similar would be perfect.
The Boys
An American series based on the comic of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The show follows a team of vigilantes trying to combat a group of super-powered individuals who abuse their abilities. This show is full of action, blood, cursing, and funny moments that would pair perfectly with something salty and/or cheesy like Doritos or Cheetos. Unless you're like Homelander, and you're fine with a glass of milk!
Sex Education
A comedy-drama about an insecure teenager that starts a sex advice business in his high school to help the students with their sexual problems. Equally funny and emotional, this show would go nicely with some sweet treats like biscuits or chocolate bars.
The Mandalorian
The first live-action series in the Star Wars franchise, follows the character of a Mandalorian bounty hunter and The Child, whom the fans named Baby Yoda, trying to escape from Moff Gideon who leads the remnant of the Galactic Empire. Since the star of the show is The Child, I would recommend a child-approved snack like gummies, candy, chocolate dipped fruits or something more filling – like chicken nuggets!
Stranger Things
This science fiction horror show focuses on the supernatural events occuring in the town of Hawkings, Indiana, after the disappearance of a young boy. The show creates a nostalgic 80s atmosphere, with the soundtrack, characterization and references to pop culture of the time. Some Eggo's waffles or 80s snacks we can find today, like Reese's pieces, Nerds, or Cool Ranch Doritos would complete the whole ambience created by the show.
Ratched
Ratched is a psychological thriller about the nurse with the same name, based on Ken Kesey's 1962 novel 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'. This show is full of beautiful ambience, elegant costumes but also macabre situations. That's why I would choose a lighter snack, like plain popcorn or some fruit, preparing the stomach for those gory and not very pleasing scenes.

I laugh every time ot appears on screen 😂😂
😂🤣
What would you eat while watching the Witcher? I can't wait for the next season. My go to is usually chips and lemonade or beer, but since this one involves the super saucy Henry Cavill, maybe hot wings? 😂
Hahaha the beer seems like a good choice to cool down after some Henry Cavill on the screen 😂.
Sometimes he's worthy of something a little stronger, Martini or a nice whisky... 😂
I would drink milk with all of them. 😊
😂 😂 😂 Have you watched the boys?
Yes I have.
