Pan Seared Tuna Steak
Celebrating the return of a fishmonger van to Sandy, I bought tuna
And having bought tuna, I went online for inspiration.
I ended up with a marinade made from 2 lemons and a lime (because they were getting long in the tooth), a cube of garlic and ginger paste, some honey, some soy, and some kashmiri chili powder. And I did the marinade through the afternoon, then separated and added some water/cornflower (sp? seems to be what the site wants) to thicken.
I overcooked the veg because a) I never know how long stir-fry takes and b) I was more worried about overcooking the tuna.
I'm glad we have a fishmonger! The veg - 5/10, the tune and sauce, more 8/10.
