Picnic in the Park
Picnics. They are awesome, but what are the positives, negatives and things you should prepare for?
First of all, sorry for not posting for the last 28 days. It has been a long time, but I'm back!
Yesterday I had a picnic sort of thing with my school friends as an end of Primary School celebration! I had 2 cucumber sandwiches with butter in them and a slice of chocolate fudge brownie - not a lot for a picnic, but I was playing in the park with friends as well! It was very fun and enjoyable. I got an ice cream too!
Some negatives are that if it rains, you will have to cancel it, sadly, as you can't eat outside, when it is raining. Your food would get soggy and horrid. If you sit in the wrong field, you may be in a field with a cow, and cows don't like humans that much.
Things you should prepare for are that is there are lots of other people there, you may have to abort! If you haven't planned for being with lots of people, and wanted to be by yourself, find another field. Obviously, if you like talking to new people, you can of course stay! If it does rain, and you can't keep the food, then you can either take it home and have it there or have it in your car. You should make your food quite far in advance. Let's say I was going to have mine on Sunday, I would have wanted to make things this morning.
Here are some positives. You get to be out in the lovely sunshine and be in a tranquil spot. You can eat nice things like sandwiches and sweet treats. You get to talk to people about things and chill out and lie down. Also, sunshine is good for Vitamin D and helps your internal clock. Sitting inside to eat isn't always the best option!
Overall, I think picnics are good things to have once in a while to escape daily routines. They really are very fun! Much better than stuck inside all day, don't you think? Thanks for reading! I will try to be writing next week as well.
Bye for now!
