Pimp My Beans: beans burger
Italian vegetarian version of Pimp My Beans. What better ways to spend time in quarantine?
I thought about how to pimp my beans for a while, I looked for recipes that didn't convince me entirely. So I experimented!
For this reason, I cannot give you the exact quantities of the ingredients that I have used, but I will explain step by step how to proceed to "pimping" your beans.
400gr - Cannellini beans, half red onion, some carrots (frozen are also fine), some celerey (like image), 1 egg, some breadcrumbs, salt and black pepper to taste.
Cut the onion, celery and carrot into small pieces, drain the water from the bean can, then put all the ingredients in a bowl, except the breadcrumbs.
With an immersion blender, roughly blend the contents of the bowl.
Then, add the breadcrumbs and mix until the dough is solid as you see in the photo.
Take a pasta bowl or a round cookie cutter and shape your beans burger, but be careful, don't make them too tall: 1cm should be fine.

In the meantime, convince your dog that you are not cooking meat or ham. Then wash your hands.
Heat the oil well in a pan, then gently lay the burgers in with the help of a spatula. Put them on medium heat and put a lid: in this way all the raw ingredients will have time to cook.
Keep in mind that the dough is softer than a hamburger, so when you turn them, you have to be careful.
This is the right colour, be careful not to burn them.
