On this same vein have you ever substituted a large dill pickle for the burger bun? It helps if you shape the patties long and flat, but with onion, ketchup, mustard and sometimes mayo....yum!
I did that in my poll to avoid clutter. They’re all whiskey, made of cereal grain. (One corn based, the other entirely barley). Are you gonna argue that burgers and hotdogs are not types of sandwiches now? Lol
