Melbourne has a dubious honor of being most Lockdown city in the World, in fact we just overtook Buenos Aires. During our numerous Lockdowns (this one is #6) various restaurants came up with great takeaway ideas. This one is from one of our favorites, Philippe. Its owner Philippe Mouchel trained with the great Paul Bocuse. Brilliant place and the only I know that has both, duck press and pigeon press. He teamed up with Pimpernel Vineyards from beautiful Yarra Valley and produced great dinner with matching wines. The offer was fully cooked and packed dinner with bottle of white, 2018 Viognier and bottle of red, 2018 Shiraz. As I said, dinner was fully cooked and it only needed warming up and plating. So, there it is dinner for two (pictured) consisting of Chestnut soup Ocean trout ceviche with potato blinis, spiced vinaigrette and Yarra Valey trout caviar, Spiced duck breasts rottisserie, leg confit, local morels and first asparagus (it's spring now) plus Milk chocolate mousse with mandarin jelly for dessert. May be ever Lockdown has something positive(ish)!
