Most people would save cooking an entire chicken to the weekend, when there's a bit more time and the pace is slower. But with this recipe, you can have an entire chicken on the table in no time at all. Yes, you can have a chicken dinner any night of the week. Winner winner.

Absolutely no fowl play here, just a juicy chicken, cooked in about a third of the time it would take to cook a chicken usually – just 35 minutes. 'What is this wizardry?' we hear you cry.   • 1tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1.2kg whole fresh chicken
  • 75g leeks, cut intoo 1.5cm chunks
  • 50g cup mushrooms, quartered
  • 50g smoked bacon lardons
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 10g butter
  • 200ml cider
  • 3/4 tbsp chopped flat leaf parsley
  • 1.5tbsp creme fraiche


  1. Prepare the ingredients:
  2. Cut the leeks into 1.5cm chunks.
  3. Cut the mushrooms into quarters.
  4. Peel the garlic clove.
  5. Chop the parsley.
  6. Brush oil all over the chicken.
  7. Brown chicken all over in the Tefal Cook4Me.
  8. Remove the chicken.
  9. Add butter, brown the leeks, mushrooms, bacon and garlic.
  10. Place the chicken on top of the vegetables and bacon. Add your cider.
  11. Pressure cook your chicken in the Tefal Cook4Me for 35 minutes.
  12. Season the juices and thicken with cornflour.
  13. Stir in creme fraiche and serve.
