A couple days into the advent beer calendar I realized I didn't enjoy new beer as much as great beer. So I went back to Guinness and now all those strange beers will sit in my fridge forever. Or until we move and they get thrown away.
Also I realized I didn't like social media as much as I liked the communities at FoodTribe and DriveTribe. All my social media outside of DT and FT has disappeared if you were following me elsewhere. No it's not a midlife crisis. As we took remote school head on I just disconnected from online life for a while. Now that COVID is basically over it's time to re-emerge like that famous groundhog and see what we missed.
I'm not exaggerating when I say I'm amazed at the leap in picture quality and writing from the FoodTribe community. Spectacular is the adjective that comes to mind.
Like numerous Americans we purchased a travel trailer this year and will be ousting ourselves out of the house to pursue the passion of travel without having to visit those ridiculous airports. I'm fairly certain the kids motocross jump height is directly correlated to the number of campsite marshmallows they consume before riding. You can expect to see numerous bonfire food crises from us as travel camping gets off the ground shortly.
It will probably be fall before I can fully rid myself of all the pandemic responsibilities, but I see a huge light at the end of the tunnel. I'm so ready to get this past year completely behind us and never look back. So I proclaim COVID over and it's time to get a move on to make up for the lost year.
Oh and we have a new addition to the family. Meet Shadow!
So what did I miss?

We have definitely missed you! Foodtribe is the absolute best social media site. 🙂
Thanks Doug! It's a great place and I squarely place the success on the great community members like yourself that make it that way!
Welcome!
Aww! You are to kind my friend. There are many great people here and one of them has returned back. 😁

Welcome back & Shadow is adorable! Looking forward to your travel posts.
Thank you Denise! Glad to see you survived that Texas snow!
Yes we survived. It was a very interesting week.
I can't wait to get some miles under me myself, and some camping in!
How long have you been camping for John?
I'm new to it! I'm looking forward to camp cooking and relaxing by the campfire with a couple cold beverages.
