Ready Steady Cook is coming back!
A remake of the hit show will be filling our screens soon.
Foodies certainly seem to be enjoying a great start to the new decade and things are soon going to get extraordinarily better.
A piece of the hearts of millions of people has been missing since 2010 when everybody’s favourite cookery show Ready Steady Cook graced our screens for the last time. But, that inconsolable sadness will soon be obliterated with the news that the show is making a comeback in 2020.
Of course, the world has moved forward somewhat since we heard the funky jazz theme tune for the final time and the new series is going to reflect that.
Support of the environment will seriously be considered through cutting food and plastic waste, which will be achieved by utilising reusable bags, recycling packaging and donating excess food to charities. As well as these measures, food will be sourced as locally as possible, benefitting the planet and local businesses. So, it’s green peppers all round on the sustainability front.
Sadly, skilled and hilarious host Ainsley Harriott won’t be returning, with the top presenter position instead going to TV’s loveable Rylan Clark. Let’s hope he’s been practising his bizarre facial expressions, which really are the most essential part of the show.
Pitting chefs against each other and the clock, Ready Steady Cook will be arriving on BBC 1 and the iPlayer later in the year.
