A personal takeaway favourite is sweet and sour chicken. We know it’s not particularly authentic, and the original Shanghainese dish was black, not orange (thanks to the black vinegar used in it), and it definitely didn’t use to feature ketchup (hmm, maybe that’s why we love it so much?), but still. Pressure cooker sweet & sour chicken

  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 600g chicken breast, diced
  • 200g green pepper, diced
  • 450g canned pineapple, drained
  • 200g onion, diced
  • 350g tomato passata
  • 2 tbsp soft brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 2 tbsp malt vinegar


  1. Prepare the ingredients: Dice the onion, pepper, chicken breast.
  2. Add the oil to your Cook4Me+.
  3. Lightly brown the chicken for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients.
  5. Stir well to combine.
  6. Pressure cook for 8 minutes.
  7. Serve and enjoy.
